July 4th Road Race
A tradition for many years, the 2010 July 4th Road Race is presented by the Duxbury Education Foundation (DEF). All proceeds from the Road Race will go to fund innovative programs in Duxbury Schools.
The Course
A 4.25 mile course starting in front of Duxbury Middle School – running past the Duxbury Free Library, then left onto Alden St, right onto Railroad Avenue, right onto St George St to the flagpole, left onto Powder Point Avenue to make a full lap of scenic Powder Point via King Caesar Road, then back onto Powder Point Ave, turning right at the flapole to finish at Duxbury Middle School in front of hundreds of friends + family!
Registration
Guarantee yourself a free Race T-shirt and register in advance online! Advance registration fee is $15. Registration fee on race day is $25. Student registration fee is always $10. All advance registrants are guaranteed a free t-shirt. T-shirts will be supplied to race-day registrants while supplies last. Online registration is extended through late afternoon Saturday July 3.

RELEASE: I, the undersigned do authorize and permit said child/adult to participate in all athletic and recreational activities without limitation conducted by the Duxbury Education Foundation. I assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation including transportation to and from the activities. I do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, supervisors and participants from all claims for damages to persons or property which may result from any such activity by such child/adult.
